Today, we would like to share a very special moment in our young association’s history – our very first association meeting. In a room filled with excitement and determination, we, the founders and members of “Pamoja Children’s Surgery for Tanzania e.V.,” came together to turn our vision of knowledge exchange among operating room staff between Germany and Tanzania into a reality.

The idea for our association originated from personal experiences on the ground. Over the past few years, as doctors, we have personally performed surgeries on children in Tanzania at our own expense, and these experiences have shown us how urgently local assistance is needed and how much we can achieve together. Thus, the idea of bringing about sustainable change was born.

Our first association meeting was a significant step on this journey. We discussed our vision, set goals, and determined how we want to improve medical care for children in Tanzania. We all agreed that training local doctors in pediatric surgery is the key to this.

Our discussions were characterized by a spirit of togetherness and shared responsibility. We realized that each of us is a part of this important endeavor and that each of our skills and experiences can make a valuable contribution.

It was heartening to see our vision transform into reality during this first association meeting. We all share the excitement about the future of “Pamoja Children’s Surgery for Tanzania e.V.” We are confident that our collective efforts will have a positive impact on the lives of children in Tanzania and ensure sustainability in pediatric surgery.

The establishment of our association marks the beginning of a new journey characterized by hope, collaboration, and the desire for a better future. We will continue to keep you updated as we work together to turn our vision into reality. Thank you for your donations, and thank you for being a part of this journey!
